MPC was founded in 1972 by Jay Brost. Jay began the company by prototyping parts in his family’s garage with his wife and kids working at his side and doing most of the assembly work. The company got off to a fast start in the first year by developing, patenting and manufacturing an automotive check valve for the Ford Motor Company. Within the first 10 years, MPC diversified, making innovative parts for emission control, safety control, fuel systems, air conditioning and speed control. The same entrepreneurial spirit that started the company is still alive and well and shared by each one of the nearly 1,500 employees.Jay started a tradition that we still follow today.
